New York melodic rock band SKATERS have announced their first tour in support of their debut Warner Bros. records single, “I Wanna Dance” (But I Don’t Know How)” b/w “Armed”, set for release on April 9th.
As the story goes, Michael Ian Cummings and Noah Rubin formed
SKATERS in 2012, and spent a year trading demos between Los
Angeles and London with guitarist Joshua Hubbard. A few months later,
the three met up in a Chinatown (NYC) loft to created their own art
zine,
YONKS, and record their debut EP, Schemers, which was given away for free on the band’s website and drew immediate critical praise:
SKATERS debut full-length will be released by Warner Bros. Records this summer. In the meantime, the band will release their
first 7-inch single on April 9th, which will feature tracks “I Wanna Dance (But I Don’t Know How)”
and “Armed.” Check out the band when they perform at SXSW in Austin, Texas, this March and stay tuned for
SKATERS’ first headlining tour to kick off in April. More details to be announced soon.
