I've been asked to help get the word out on the Evolution of the Online Music Industry. So rather than words, I figured you guys would prefer graphs and pics instead.
I like the statistic about how record store sales have decreased 76% from 2000-2010. That's why I was buying put options on Best Buy like there was no tomorrow. What are they gonna do with all that retail space when no one buys cd's or dvd's anymore? *crickets*
Interestingly, though, (and maybe it was just me) - I can't remember a way of legally purchasing music back in 2000. Ipods didn't come out until 2001. I was a freshman in college back in 2000, it was all about Napster back then. Nice to see that the industry's gone legit since then.
