Lifestyle Brand Spreads the Power of Optimism through Music

Life is good®, the Boston-based lifestyle brand presents a free in-store performance with Ukulele star Jake Shimabukuro, this Thursday, April 19 at 3:00PM. Shimabukuro will bring his memorable live show to Life is good’s Flagship Store at 285 Newbury Street in performing tracks off of his latest album ‘Peace Love Ukulele.’

Rolling Stone calls Shimabukuro “one of the hottest axmen of the past few years” and the Washington Post says Shimabukuro has “raised the bar for the ukulele.” His cover of “Bohemian Rhapsody” has been lauded as “amazing uke playing to be relished” by Brian May of Queen, while Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam said that “Jake is taking the instrument to a place that I can’t see anybody else catching up with him.”

Life is good spreads the power of optimism through its collection of apparel and accessories and through its nonprofit arm, the Life is good Playmakers, helping kids overcome poverty, violence and illness. The Life is good Community will gather in person to celebrate optimism and raise funds for kids in need once again at the 3rd annual Life is good Festival this fall. 100% of Life is good's profits from the fundraising music festival will go toward its goal of raising over $1 million for The Life is good Playmakers. Dates, artist line–up and ticket information will be announced soon on Lifeisgood.com/festivals.
