I used to drink beer a lot more than I do now.  Now I'm more of a whiskey guy.  Scotch most of the time, or if we're doing cocktails I'll usually go for an old fashioned or a sazerac.  That being said, I'm a big fan of Allagash White (great summer beer) and Aventinus.  The only thing missing (in my opinion) is a Dogfish Head IPA of some sort.

Enjoy selection of unconventional sweet beers enhanced by decadent dessert pairings

WHAT: Finale, Boston’s sweet spot, explores the world of craft beer in two tasting events featuring a sampling of five flavored craft beers paired with some of Finale’s seasonal selection of desserts. Executive Pastry Chef, Nicole Coady, has carefully selected desserts,
which will enhance the sweeter accents in these beers.

Additionally, Bryan Greene from Great Brewers will discuss the five beers and their distinctive flavors.

Dessert pairings include:

·       Original Sin Cider with Frangipane tart
·       Allagash White with lemon tart
·       Duvel Golden Ale with fresh Fruit tart
·       Aventinus with Mascarpone Mousse cup
·       Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock with Mini Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake
