
Sunday, April 29, 2:00 p.m. at Regis College in Weston, the Boston Civic Symphony, Max Hobartm conductor, will close out its 87th season with a program of music by Debussy, Liszt, and Sibelius. The Regis College Glee Club and Alumnae Chorus will be the guest artists for Debussy’s Nocturnes. Written in 1910, the piece examines three distinct facets of the night, Nuages (Clouds), Fêtes (Festivals) and Sirenes (Sirenes). Robert Finley, President and Founder of the Boston Piano Amateurs Association will be the soloist in Piano Concerto No. 1 in E flat by Liszt. The final piece on the program will be Symphony No. 2 by Sibelius.
