I'm going to be out of town this weekend for my buddy tbrant's bachelor party, but if I was around, I would be the stocky asian guy stuffing his face with kebabs at the Armenian Street Fair & Festival. 

You're Irish on St. Patrick's Day; Italian during the many feasts and processions in the North it's time to be Armenian! Celebrate and experience Armenian culture and cuisine at the second annual Kermesse: Armenian Street Fair & Festival. The weekend-long event, presented by the Armenian Cultural and Educational Center (ACEC) in Watertown, Massachusetts, will take place on Friday, September 9th,2011 to Sunday, September 11th, 2011. The event will showcase all aspects of Armenian culture such as art exhibits from local artists exhibits and interactive activities highlighting Armenian history and culture, traditional Armenian food and gourmet tastings from local vendors including Eastern Lamejun, Arax Market, Massis Bakery, Fastachi and more!

This year, the event is expected to attract over 6,000 visitors and will feature live music by internationally renowned Armenian musicians such as Tata Simonyan, The Element Band, Aravod Ensemble featuring Mal Barsamian, Arev Armenian Folks Ensemble, Ashot Logian and The Hayasa Band, Karen Kocharyan Band, Yerevan Band, Classic Groove and other performers. Perfect for kids of all ages, the festival will include special children's activities including a giant slide, soccer kick,Gladiator Joust and Bounce House and other exciting activities. The event, themed around the provinces of historic Armenia will showcase the historical, cultural and artistic treasures of Armenia and the Armenian-American community. Entertainment for children of all ages will beoffered along with ample culinary offerings reflecting the presence of Armenian life in many corners of the world! The event is free admissions and tickets are required for entertainment performances only!
