
Hello everybody!!! I'd love if you could check out, list and discuss The Most Important thing Ever- The Boston Bacon Takedown - June 19 3PM at the Armory in Somerville! You'll be tasting the bacon-centric recipes of 20 local cooks- sweet and savory- and judging the most worthy of your ballot. In the past we've seen cheesecakes, bloody marys, tacos... everything. Tons of prizes for the cooks (Le Creuset, Wusthof, Anolon, and more) and a chance for attendees to win a year's supply of Hormel Black Label Bacon!
I've tried beef bacon and turkey bacon before. Neither was particularly impressive. Also, what would you consider a "year's supply" of bacon? 50 lbs? That'd assume about a lb a week of bacon consumption. I have no idea if that's a little or a lot.

I'm competing in the takedown this weekend... and I've plowed through 3 pounds of bacon this week alone, just testing out recipes! It's a sickness! Looking forward to the event.
