About half-way though the night, designer number one, Crystal Noe, showcased her spring designs. If her vision is any indication of what’s to come, we can expect flirty designs, bright colors, floral prints, and bold jewelry this spring. After seeing the work of all of the night’s featured designers, we deemed Crystal Noe’s “Lizzie-tish” collection to be our favorite.
The second designer Eileen Apelian featured styles that reminded us of a cute 1950s pin-up full of polka dots, red, white, and black, and designer number three Julie Kontos, showcased designs with more of a funky, rock and roll edge. Although they have very different styles, each designer impressed the audience with their unique designs, intricate detail, and keen flair for fashion.
Overall the colorful fashions and warm crowd at Friday night’s event definitely got me in the mood for springtime. Although fashion might not be for everyone, few ladies wouldn’t fit in with the martini-sipping crowd full of fabulous women and men alike. The Leap into Spring Fashion event was perfect for any girlie girl in Boston, not to mention, an entertaining way to support a good cause, The March of Dimes.
