I think we all knew this already, but in case someone wasn't aware. It's really expensive to live in Wellesley. According to Coldwell Banker, it's the 7th most expensive place to live in the country. The report from Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC's Home Listing Report looked at listing prices between February and August and found that the average price of a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom, single-family home in Wellesley is just under $1.1 million.
Nationally, average home prices range from a low of $68,000 in Detroit to a high of $1.83 million in Newport Beach, California.
I did a quick google search but wasn't able to find the report itself (too lazy to spend a lot of time on it). I'm a little curious to see which cities were 2 through 6. I'm also curious to see how many of the houses that were listed for those prices actually sold.
