So today I really wanted some dessert after my dinner, so I swung by the grocery store and bought this frozen brownie ice cream sundae thing.  Basically you microwave this small bowl of brownie batter for 30 seconds, and then put the ice cream on top afterwards.  It's like the molten chocolate cake at Finale, but wayyyyy more ghetto.  I'm usually a pretty good 'cook' but somehow I managed to burn microwave brownie batter.

Two things came out of this.  1.  my apartment smells like smoke.  2.  I should leave the baking to the folks at the 11th Annual Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer event which started yesterday.

Make Mother’s Day special this year by treating the important women in your life to fabulous desserts while also helping fight breast cancer. During the week leading up to Mother’s Day, May 3 – 9, more than 150 restaurants, bakeries, caf├ęs and chocolate shops throughout Massachusetts will participate in Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer by preparing unique desserts. Desserts will cost around $8 and 100% of sales will benefit breast cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

  1. Pink Ribbon Said,

A healthy, cancer-preventative diet is the best way to prevent the onset of malignant cancers. Keeping the body in an alkaline state by feeding it a diet rich in natural foods will safeguard the body from becoming an environment in which cancer can thrive and replicate.
