I just got word that Ginger Park, the replacement for Banq, is now open in the old Penny Savings Bank (here). I haven't had a chance to check it out, but here's what the press release had to say.
The launch of the new venture in the form of a bold, accessible, and affordable updated Asian eatery: Ginger Park. Ginger Park includes a warm welcome to internationally acclaimed chef, Patricia Yeo, who has joined the restaurant and has put her own creative signature on the menu. Fixtures on the Boston restaurant scene, Hemant Chowdry and Mark Raab, announced the eatery located on the corner of Washington Street and Union Park.
Ginger Park blends the cutting-edge Asian cuisine with an unpretentious bar and lounge offering a distinctly modern flair that caters to the neighborhood in the South End. Whether looking for brunch, a dining destination, group event, or simply a spot for after-hours cocktails, Ginger Park has the formula perfected.
Looks like their website isn't up yet, but the old Banq site has the Ginger Park menu up on it. Looks interesting - very asian fusiony.

They've been open for a couple months now. Yelp reviews are alright.
