Michelle Lewis @ Cagney's - Tonight!

11/13/2009 12:02:00 AM

Bloggery Reader Julie asked if I could do a quick plug for her friend Michelle's performance tonight. Who am I to say no? Here's what she had to say:

A very talented and beautiful girlfriend of mine is playing a show at Cagney's in Quincy this Friday night. There's no cover and she'll be playing 8 - 12.

She's folky (think Jewel) and is going to have a great mix of her own music and then covers to play through the night. Her shows are always great and I thought maybe if you checked her out and listened to her that you might want to share this on the Beantown Bloggery.

Well Julie, I see your plug and I raise you a youtube video. See Michelle's latest music video for "Breakfast at Tiffany's" below.

  1. Dan Dan Said,

I think I recognize the South End in a lot of those outside shots (I definitely saw that area by Hamersley's/Beehive at the end).

Amd any music video with a frothy pint of Guinness has got me sold ;)

The word choice in this song is actually pretty cool. I kept getting tripped up on the word "abides" until I thought about it and realized it not only fit perfectly in context but also has a cool slant rhyme with it and "miles". Sorry, I'll take off my lame poetry hat now...

I'd be interested in checking her out sometime, unfortunately my dance card is pretty full and rarely would I have time to get to Quincy. Thanks BB for keeping us in the loop about her and other local talent!

It's too bad you can't make it to the show tonight - it's going to be a great time.
