Wichita Filming at Jacob Wirth's

10/14/2009 12:05:00 AM
Those of you who follow my Twitter already know this, but according to Bloggery Reader RB - Wichita has been filming at Jacob Wirth's since yesterday.

This is a bit of a digression, but the worst part about my computer being busted is that I lost all my autosaved passwords. It took me forever just to log into twitter today because I forgot my password. Anyway, here's what RB had to say:

Not sure if this is of any interest to you but today and tomorrow(Tue/Wed)....Wichita is being filmed at Jacob Wirth’s restaurant on Kneeland Street. They rented out the place for the two days at $15,000 a day.

$15K a day, not a bad payday. Anyone in the restaurant biz want to comment on how $15K compares to what a regular day of revenue would be for a restaurant like Jacob Wirths? Is it more? Is it less? Comparable?

  1. Rhea Said,

I have a feeling Jacob Wirth's is making more than it would normally make on two midweek days. I work nearby. I am going to stop by and check out the action.

I just heard that filming at Jacob Wirth's got pushed to next week. Not sure if they'll be there today. Unfortunately I don't have the time to swing by to verify. But I didn't want you to waste a trip over there if they're not filming.

  3. Rhea Said,

I did run over yesterday and found a sign on the door saying the shoot was delayed. Oh, well.

  4. TPapi Said,

I've shot at Jacob Wirth's before. They're old hands at this and know what they are doing.
