Blog Layout Feedback

9/29/2009 12:17:00 AM
It was probably a few months back when I updated the layout of the blog and since then I've gotten some positive feedback and some negative feedback. As a result, I'm going to take an informal survey right now and ask for your help.

Do you like the current format? If you don't, what would make it better?

Here's a few of the things I've been told:

1. Don't like the fact that you can't read the whole article on the homepage anymore, and that you have to click individual articles.

2. Can't tell which article is the most recent because it's missing time stamps.

3. It's a little too dark.

Leave a comment on this post and let me have it.

Bear in mind that it takes me an ungodly number of hours to update my layout (since I'm not a programmer). So I'll do my best to update the layout once I get your feedback and also find several spare hours to work on it.

  1. Anthony Said,

Change is good but we don't like it but we end up getin used to it so with that said I liked the old layout and hated the new but now I'm used to the knew layout and love this so if it was to change I'm sure I would not like it at first because its not what I'm used to but as soon as I get used to it I'm sure id love it so I like it as is and hate change but deep down I love change as soon as I get used to it :)

  2. Jake Said,

I don't like it - the old layout was better and more user-friendly.

  3. Jake Said,

The other layout was more user friendly and easier to navigate.

  4. Dan Dan Said,

It'd be nice if the pics up top rotated between a random set of images.

Also, sometimes you can't see the full headline on the front page. For example, right now it's Harvard produces the mos... That's a whole lot less clickable because it's not immediately apparent what I'll be getting.
