Back in my college days, I was pretty good at pool. It helped that there was a table in the basement of our fraternity house and there was a steady group of folks that were always looking for distractions from work. Sadly, as the years have gone by, I've gotten worse and worse. So this Wednesday's Beat the Pro event at Felt probably isn't for me.
The “Beat the Pro” promotion launches on Wednesday, September 23rd and is also scheduled for Wednesday, September 30th; Wednesday, October 7th; and Wednesday, October 14th. Pool Shark, Bob LeBlanc is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for complimentary lessons and challenges.
Reservations are not required but strongly encouraged. The event is scheduled on Felt’s second floor which features six pool tables, a plush lounge area, big-screen HDTV’s and a full bar. For those who work up a hunger in an attempt to “Beat the Pro”, Felt’s kitchen offers $3 appetizers, $3 entrĂ©es and $3 desserts in addition to the regular menu each Wednesday night.
My friend "Kegstand" used to be really awesome at pool, I wonder if he still keeps it up. Back in the day, I could finish a game pretty quickly, but he could run the table.
