Lobster Prices Drop to $3.99?

8/03/2009 12:03:00 AM
Anyone know where the closest Market Basket is to Downtown Boston? According to Grubstreet, they're selling lobster for $3.99/lb right now. That's a steal! Here's a peek at part of their list.

James Hook & Company: $5.99/lb (new shell); $7.99/lb (hard shell)
Market Basket: $3.99/lb (-20% change from last week)

Roy Moore Lobster Co: $9.99/lb

Shaw's (Prudential): $7.99/lb (small/medium); $9.99/lb (large)

New Englanders know that there's nothing better on a summer weekend than lobster, unless it's cheap lobster. Check back with Grub Street Boston every Friday through Labor Day to see where you can get the best deal in town. Who's got the lowest price per pound this week?

Did I hear someone say clambake? Start digging the sand pit, I'll get the lobsters.

  1. Anonymous Said,

Probably Chelsea, but I wouldn't rule out there being one down towards Dorchester.
