Kevin James in "The Zookeeper"

7/14/2009 01:06:00 AM
Many thanks to Bloggery Reader Jackie for literally writing the entirety of the content in this post. Jackie has the scoop on Kevin James's new movie "The Zookeeper" which starts filming next week - presumably right after the Adam Sandler movie "Grown Ups" wraps up.

Kevin James film called "the Zookeeper" is going to be filmed this fall at the Franklin Park Zoo. Right now they are building the set at the zoo. I went there today and you can catch glimpses of the set which looks really neat. I didn't bring my camera though...sorry! but here is the link on the Zoo website, and a link to the article which also mentions it (it also mentions the tough financial times for the zoo so your readers should really go support the zoo as well)

The Globe reported yesterday that a film crew is laying the groundwork to begin filming a live-action comedy, “The Zookeeper’’ starring Kevin James and Rosario Dawson, near an unused outdoor gorilla exhibit near the zoo’s rear entrance. Filming is scheduled to run from July 20 through October, and the zoo was paid a “substantial’’ location fee that zoo officials would not disclose.

Thanks, Jackie!!
