There have been tons of articles today revealing it, I'll quote from the first article I came across which came from NECN.
Somerville Mayor, Joseph Curtatone, confirms U2 is going to be performing tomorrow at the Somerville Theatre. The doors will open at 8pm, the show will start at 9pm. Tickets are sold out, and are only winnable through the radio.
All the other websites as well are reporting the same thing, I'll post links to all of them in case you want to read all the articles. But there you have it. The Globe was wrong at first, the Herald was wrong at first, and the Phoenix got it right. At least that's what I seem to have found.

PS. Remember, if you can't score tickets, you can at least listen to the concert on the radio. WBCN will be broadcasting it at 9 p.m.

Unknown Said,
If you watch this news report on NECN they show a giant video production truck behind Somerville Theater. Looks to me like there is more than a radio show going on. Here is the link to the video http://necn.com/Boston/Arts-Entertainment/2009/03/10/Somerville-buzzing-over-U2/1236734754.html
