I have fond memories of Bauer Wine & Spirits on Newbury. I used to get wine from there for dates and formals while I was in school. The folks that worked there were always very helpful and knowledgeable. It may have been the first place I ever purchased alcohol from. It was either them or Marlboro Mart, but I digress.

Coming up tomorrow is a BBC beer tasting. I recently had BBC for the first time and it's pretty good - I suggest you check it out.

Bauer Wine & Spirits

Gwen Richardson, area rep for the Berkshire Brewing Co. (BBC), will be on hand this evening to pour samples from their line of locally produced ales and lagers. BBC's spring seasonal, a maibock, will be out just in time for this tasting.

And if you go there, do me a favor and say hi to Gwen for me. I'd do it myself but I'll be on a plane.
