Real Estate Price Changes in MA

2/04/2009 12:01:00 AM
As we all know, the real estate market has seemingly been in the pooper lately since the onset of the recession. But the Globe took a closer look at some areas within MA and while some places did see price drops, others (like Cambridge) saw price increases.

Chelsea saw the biggest decline. Hyannis, Hopedale, and Mattapan tied for second biggest decline, and Osterville came in third. In terms of increases, Marion and Cambridge saw the biggest increases.

My boss has a house in Osterville, even at 30% off, I'm pretty sure I'd never be able to afford that place. Maybe there's some better deals in Hyannis - for those of you that are lookin to pick up a house on the Cape.
