I received this little tidbit just before Mall Cop came out, but haven't had a chance to post it until now. Thanks to the very enthusiastic Bloggery reader (and also part time actor) Jim for sending me the article on Suzanne England - a Mansfield local - and her role in Mall Cop.

“Boston’s a great city, we had so much fun,” James told the Track. “There was one restaurant in the North End that was really amazing, but because of time constraints and the shooting schedule we didn’t get out as much as we liked.”

And speaking of “Mall Cop,” Mansfield homegal Suzanne England was in the right spot at the right time and scored some major face time in the new flick. The 40-year-old mother of three was working as an extra during a scene at Joe’s American Bar & Grill in the South Shore Plaza, when she was pulled out of the crowd to do a bit with James and his on-screen love interest, Jayma Mays. England said the scene called for a drunk Blart to tell her, “You’re not my type.”

Congrats to Suzanne! I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out for that scene when I do. I heard that my sister's friend Hannah had a speaking role in Bride Wars. Good luck to all the aspiring actors and actresses out there, I hope you all get a bunch more chances with all the additional movies that are on its way in 2009.

PS. Anyone know which North End restaurant Kevin James was talking about? Just curious.
