Bond @ The Langham Hotel

I got an email the other day from Bloggery Reader Erika where she mentioned a couple of places she liked to go to for the nightlife and one of them was the newly opened Bond @ The Langham Hotel. I believe it opened earlier this month, but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

Enjoy an evening in BOND; a premiere destination for cosmopolitan dining, cocktails and entertainment. BOND is shimmering yet hip setting for small plate dining options, distinctive cocktails and eclectic music. Starting at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, DJ Mario brings live and eclectic beats to the Financial District. BOND features a mix of dining tables and lounge seating with a casual, upscale atmosphere and hosts the Mezzanine Lounge, an exclusive balcony with seating for private events, overlooking the main restaurant.

I'm a fan of hotel bars - particularly the The Intercontinental and Clink @ The Liberty Hotel - so I'm sure I'll make it over to Bond at some point. Anyone been there already and want to give their two cents?

Speaking of hotel bars, I went to Bar 10 in the Copley Westin for the first time last week. That's a pretty great bar as well. It's particularly nice that there's a line of cabs waiting for you outside the hotel at the end of the night to take you home.

    I went to Bond last week on Wednesday night. The place was pretty crowded for a week-night with a mostly young professionals crowd. The room itself is gorgeous and posh. We were lucky enough to have a corner booth where we could watch the crowd. Our waiter was a little flighty and busy. But since he kept having to attend to other tables, my friend's champagne by the glass became him leaving the bottle for us to refill hers and ours (my other friend and I had cocktails) and just charging us for her actually ordered 3 glasses. Cocktails were delicious and around $14 for specialty martinis. We had a couple of the appetizers which really didn't stand out. The Duck Prosciutto was kind of bland, but the White Bean Dip was pretty good. Bar none the dessert was the best. Little cheesecake balls on skewers, some with white chocolate and some with dark chocolate coating. Came with raspberry and chocolate dipping sauce and pop rocks! The most entertaining dessert I've had in a long time!
