Well, it looks like I was wrong. That's what I get for making assumptions. I make an "ass" out of "u" and "me" (remember that episode of the Fresh Prince?) - ok mostly just me. Anyhoo, Jerel wrote back following my post (here) and filled me in on a couple more things he'd discovered about the upcoming filming on Appleton Street this weekend.

We have found out that the name of the film is Four Single Fathers. From what little I could gather it is an English language film by an Italian studio.

A quick IMDB search shows that there is indeed a movie called Four Single Fathers that has Boston, MA listed as one of the filming locations. Here's the plot synopsis:

A comedy/drama about four Italian single fathers trying to cope with American ex-wives, children, family, and new relationships, set in New York and Rome.

So once again, we're sitting in for NYC (thanks to those tax credits). So I guess we should be looking out for yellow "FSF" signs this weekend? Anyone else out there have any info on this movie that they care to share? Remember, sharing is caring.

  1. Rhea Said,

Funny, the 'assume' makes ass out of U and Me came from The Odd Couple many years ago. Or at least that's where I remember it from.

I worked on the film Friday too. Very small set but one recognizable face -- the very talented Mary Testa plays one of the Italian wives, Maria.

Indeed filming on South Street today, Tuesday 7-22! Same scene of a woman dressed only in black bra and panties running out of a building into a "NYC Taxi". Been at it since 9:00 this morning...
