Money Magazine released their list of "Top 100 Best Small Cities" of 2008 under the heading "Best Places to Live" and a few cities in MA made the cut.

Newton at number 49 (here)
Waltham at number 72 (here)
Brookline at number 87 (here)

We definitely didn't fare so well in that category, but there is one that we did better on, that would be "Best Cities for Singles"

Cambridge at number 2 (here)
Somerville at number 3 (here)
Boston at number 5 (here)

Click (here) to browse through some of the rest of the categories.

  1. Dan Dan Said,

How random! Novi, the suburb of MI that my parents live in, is number 48 overall and the second best city in the state. While the No.VI is a great place, I'm surprised it beat out Newton given the horrible, horrible shape the MI economy is in.

  2. Anonymous Said,

Boston should have been number 1!
