I was pretty sad when they closed down the Hooters in North Station. Not that the food was good or the girls were hot, but because I used to watch pay per view UFC matches there. When they closed down, the only other place that I knew of that showed the fights was Good Times. Now they're closing too.OK, Somerville, you wanted an Ikea in Assembly Square. But did you realize those rice paper light fixtures and assemble-your-own bookshelves would displace Skee-Ball? The Good Time Emporium announced it will close July 1 so landlord
The good news is that they're looking into other locations so there's a chance that there might still be a place that I can go to to avoid paying the outrageous $40 fee for a pay per view UFC match.
At the same time though, I'm pretty happy that there will be an Ikea close by (Stoughton's a bit of haul). It'll probably destroy traffic in the area, but I do love me some Ikea furniture.
PS. Avoid the cinnamon rolls there, my friend dwillens got a nasty stomach bug from them.
