I'm entering uncharted waters here folks - but here goes. The Great Boston Burlesque Exposition starts tomorrow, Friday 3/21 and runs through the entire weekend. Ask me what I think "burlesque" means and I'd probably respond "um... like strippers but classier?" Here's what wikipedia has to say:

Burlesque is a style of live entertainment that encompasses pastiche, parody, and wit. The genre traditionally encompasses a variety of acts such as dancing girls, chanson singers, comedians, mime artists, and strip tease artistes, all satirical and with a saucy edge.

Anyhoo, the expo is going to take place at the Hyatt Regency on Memorial Drive (575 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA). There's going to be parties, classes, fashion shows - all sorts of shenanigans.

Just a word to the wise, in small print at the bottom of the web page it says: "Charges for your tickets will show up on your credit card statement as "Professional Burlesque Society" So, full disclosure might be smart if you were originally planning on going and not telling your better half.
