There was a tiny blurb on Monday in the Globe this week about the Cambridge safeRide program and how they're going to provide free taxi rides to all the drunken folk that are out this weekend celebrating St. Patrick's Day.

PS. Don't forget to drink lots of Guinness.
The Cambridge safeRide Program will provide free taxicab rides for St. Patrick’s Party revelers leaving from Cambridge licensed Alcohol establishments and traveling to residential addresses. This program, designed to deter driving under the influence, will be in effect in Cambridge from 7 p.m., on Saturday, March 15 until 4:00 a.m., Sunday, March 16. There is a $35 cap on cab rides. Those needing a Cambridge safeRide should call 617-864-5000 beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 15.
So don't worry about driving, finding parking, catching the last train of the night, or crashing on your buddy's couch - if you're partying in Cambridge - get a free ride home.
