Dr. Bose Inducted Into Hall of Fame

2/14/2008 04:10:00 PM
Dr. Amar Bose, who most of you know as the inventor of those great sounding and very small home theater systems - and also those awesome QuietComfort noise-canceling headphones, and then a small group of you now as the Professor for your acoustics class when you were at MIT, will be inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame.

Bose, who is among several inductees in the "living" category, will be honored along with the inventor of the television remote control and the inventor of styrofoam.

It's a toss up for me. I can imagine life without a Bose system - hell, I'm living life without it right now. But I think i would die without my television remote control.

I have a pair of the Quiet Comfort 2's (I prefer over-the-ear as opposed to on-the-ear). They are remarkable, especially on airplanes. Click (here) to get a pair of your own. The inventor is going to be in the Hall of Fame, afterall.
