The 14th Annual Great International Beer Festival is coming to The Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence tomorrow 11/10. There will be two sessions: 1pm-4:30 and 6:30pm-10pm.

They claim to be the Largest International Beer Festival. Bold claim for such a small state. Just kidding, no offense to RI. Anyhoo, what's in store at a Beer Festival besides beer? (250 kinds to choose from) Well, there's beer, live music, beer, food, and more beer.

Let the drunken debauchery commence! Click (here) for a link to the site so you can purchase tickets and get more information. Tickets are $35.

I attended this Scam.....It sucked. Wait 20 minutes in line for two ounces of beer. Then another 20 minutes for another two ounces. International? Miller Lite? What a Joke. I paid $35 for a beer and a half over two hours. Maury Ryan should be proud.

Scam??? no way! It was great! You had to get tickets early so as to have them mailed and get in line REAL early. I was one of the first few hundred in the festival room and got to try 8 different beers in 5 minutes. the lines picked up but then Yankee Brew News held a tutor taste and we sat in the corner for 20 minutes and had THEM pour us samples. we tried 6 different types and half an hour later they had a second session with 6 more! Some expensive types too with corks. after it all we walked to Trinity Brewhouse for another one. All in all great for any beer fan but get there an 45min to an hour early to really enjoy. It was worth the wait and the money!

I bought my tickets one month in advance. I got to the show at 6:15. This show is oversold! Why should the first 100 or so people benefit and the rest get screwed? Did I not pay the same as you? Was I not promised the same in the advertisement as you? SCAM!!!!

Oversold? I'd certainly agree with you there. But i got there at 5:45 for the 6:30 opening. The tutor tastes were at 8oclock though so any could sit down (or stand around where they poured). They used the PA to announce them but I can see missing it from all the noise. I had fun but i was told the afternoon had alot less people.
