Salaries for Famous Bostonians

10/09/2007 11:34:00 PM
The cover story for the October issue of Boston Magazine is "Who Makes What, A Shameless Peek Inside Bostonians' Wallets." I always find it interesting to read about what famous/high profile folks are making. Gives me hope that one day I'll be famous/high profile and making that much money.

Corporate America
Henri Termeer of Genzyme: $22,448,918
Joseph Tucci of EMC: $20,213,028
William Swanson of Raytheon: $17,231,512
Ron Sargent of Staples: $13,711,035
James Mullen of Biogen Idec: $12,201,576
James Tobin of Boston Scientific: $8,360,566
Carol Meyrowitz of TJX: $7,585,246

Famous Faces
Manny Ramirez of the Red Sox: $17,016,381
Paul Pierce of the Celtics: $16,360,094
Tom Brady of the Patriots: $6,000,000
Randy Moss of the Patriots: $3,000,000
James Levine of the BSO: $1,536,769
Keith Lockhart of the Boston Pops: $690,405

I'm a little surprised that Tom Brady makes that much less than Manny and Paul Pierce. Does he make up the rest in endorsements maybe? As of 2 weeks ago Tom is selling 2 condos on Beacon street (here) one for $3.99 million and the other for $4.59 million. You have to be making more than $6 million to afford places like that right?
