Octoberfest at the Harpoon Brewery

9/26/2007 11:14:00 AM
For those of us that don't have the funds or the vacation time to fly to Germany, where better to get a little taste of Octoberfest than a brewery? Coming up this weekend on Friday and Saturday, the Harpoon Brewery is celebrating the coming of Fall with some of my favorite things in life: beer and meat.

Celebrate the fall season Harpoon-style with fresh Harpoon and UFO beers, bratwurst from Kayem, and other great food. Plus live local rock bands and non-stop German Oompah bands.

Admission is $15 per person and there is a free shuttle from South Station (signs on Summer St). Parking is available across the street from the brewery, but come on guys. Don't drink and drive. Either sucker someone into being a designated driver (Designated driver at a brewery? I think that was Dante's 7th circle of Hell) or take the shuttle . The Silver Line also goes out to the brewery, so that's another option.
