Brazilian Independence Day Festival

9/05/2007 11:16:00 AM
Time for a little culture? The Brazilian Independence Day Festival starts tonight and runs through the weekend. Why should we celebrate? Because we love Brazil. Ask any fund/etf manager who's been doing the heavy lifting in Latin America - answer: Brazil. Who gave us Carnival? Brazil. Who brought us those glorious restaurants where the waiters walk around with skewers of roasted meat? Brazil. Soccer? Brazil (ok, ok and David Beckham). Over half of our beloved Victoria Secret Models (I <3 Adriana Lima)? Brazil.

I think I've made my point. So get ready to party this week. Click (here) for the official website and additional information or see below for a schedule of events.

I would like to know if u have any info on videographers who attended the festival. My dog, a black cockapoo, was filmed for a while (he was wearing a white shirt with a brazilian flag) and I would really like to see the video. The videographer was an amateur.. maybe filming for a school project or website..? Tried Youtube- no luck.
    thanks!
