Pinkberry Substitute

7/30/2007 12:50:00 PM
Ever had Pinkberry? I had it for the first time about a month or so ago while I was in New York. I'll admit that it was pretty tasty, and it was nice with the fresh fruit toppings. Steep price though. I think it was like $7 or $8 for a large.

Yesterday's Globe had a plug for another low-calorie frozen yogurt called Frogurt. My first reaction is....terrible name. It's almost as bad as when they named Botox by combining the terms 'botulism' and 'toxin.' Anyway, Frogurt is available at the Three Sisters ice cream shop in Providence. It's a 45 minute drive versus a 4 hour drive to NYC to get your '25 calorie an ounce' frozen dessert fix.

I'll report back once I have a chance to drive down there and try it. For those of you out for summer. Here's the address for you to check it out if you've got time.

1074 Hope St
Providence, RI 02906
