Fact 1
Yesterday's Globe had an article (here) about how Good News Holdings (GNH), a Christian-faith based movie studio is looking into opening up a movie studio in MA. The article says that the cofounder of GNH David Kirkpatrick and the President of MassDevelopment Robert Culver will not divulge the locations that they have been considering.
Fact 2
Today's Metro has an article saying that some movie executives are considering the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station as the possible home for a new movie production campus according to Rep. Ronald Mariano of Quincy.
Fact 3
Both articles say that this deal hinges on legislation that would "increase the tax credit limit and boost the payroll reimbursement rate from 20 percent to 25 percent."
Conclusion
Either 2 movie studios are looking to move into Massachusetts, or Good News Holdings is looking at the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station as a possibility for its new home.
