I posted a couple weeks ago about Good News Holdings and their interest in opening a movie studio in MA. You can read the original article (here). When posting previously, I had mentioned that one of the key pieces to the puzzle was that GNH was waiting to see if MA would provide some additional tax breaks, well we're halfway there.
Last Wednesday, the House voted 153 - 1 in favor of House Bill 4043 to make lower-budget film productions ($50K and up) eligible for tax incentives. The original threshold was $250K and up. The bill will be voted on in the Senate "in the near future."
My master plan is all falling into place.
Step 1 - movie studio opens in MA
Step 2 - celebrities move to MA to be close to work
Step 3 - I open a Pinkberry franchise and all the celebrities go there
Step 4 - Profit!
