Happy Hump Day. Only 2 more days until the Grand Opening of the Boston Common Frog Pond for the summer. On Friday, June 29th at 11am, the Frog Pond Wading Pool will officially open for the summer.
The opening will kick off with a beach party celebration with "refreshments, entertainment, artists workshops, and storytellers from ReadBoston. If Friday ends up being as hot as it was yesterday, I can't think of anything better than getting a lemonade from one of the stands in the Common, rolling up my pants and wading through Frog Pond and then spending the remainder of the afternoon working on my tan.
Frog Pond is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Labor Day. The facility is managed by the Boston Common Frog Pond Foundation and staffed by youth workers from the Boston Youth Fund. Official Website (here)
